Not only was February the coldest month it’s ever been since 1934, but it just … won’t … stop … snowing in the Danbury, Putnam, Westchester-area.

A winter weather advisory and hazardous weather outlook is in effect until 7 pm, as snow and freezing temperatures could make road and outdoor conditions dangerous.

The National Weather Service reports that the area could receive between 2 to 5 inches of snow, which is expected to taper off in the afternoon.

Today: Snow, mainly before 5pm. Temperature falling to around 21 by noon. Wind chill values between 10 and 20. Northwest wind 7 to 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. Total daytime snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible.

Ok, we know it’s winter and that it snows during winter … but this is BEYOND ridiculous.

Not only was February the coldest month it’s ever been since 1934, but it just … won’t … stop … snowing in the Danbury, Putnam, Westchester-area.

We got around six inches on Sunday, up to three inches on Tuesday and are in for about four to eight inches Wednesday night into Thursday. A winter storm warning is in effect from 7 pm Wednesday to 7 pm Thursday.

Here's the upcoming forecast from the National Weather Service:

  • Tonight - Rain, snow, and sleet likely before 10 pm, then snow. Low around 19. Calm wind becoming north around 5 mph after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New snow and sleet accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.
  • Thursday - Snow, mainly before 4pm. Steady temperature around 20. Wind chill values between 10 and 15. Northwest wind around 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible.
  • Thursday Night - A chance of snow before 7pm. Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly clear, with a low around 4. North wind 3 to 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

We have had enough! We’re putting our foot down and going right to the top.

Mother Nature … we have a bone to pick with you.
