Well he might not have created craft beer, but he definitely helped push the popularity of it. "He" is Jim Koch of the Boston Beer Company, better known as the creators of Sam Adams.

According to Business Insider, Koch actually left a successful consulting job in the mid 1980's to start the Boston Beer Company and never looked back. He wanted to follow in his brew master father's path and do something he really had a passion for, beer. He admits he enjoyed his first beer at the age of 4, so he started young!

Koch admits it took around 20 years for things to really become as popular as they are now, and to really push the craft beer idea. He says that in the old days, such beers were known as "micros".

Koch also says that with an ever-growing craft beer market, it puts him in a position where he needs to be constantly leading the pack. Coming up with new ideas and new products is what keeps his company ahead of other breweries.

Get ready to enjoy some delicious craft beer and more at the Bacon and Brew Fest coming up this Saturday in Danbury!
