How to Survive a Rain Storm
AHHHHH! So much RAIN! I definitely hydroplaned a couple of times coming into work today.
I feel like when a big rain storm happens, we are still unprepared for it. Even though we have lived our whole lives dealing with it. So here is a sort of "survival checklist" for rainy days:
Rain Boots. If it's pouring and you're walking around A LOT. These things will save you. I have big calves so I can never fit into a pair (SADNESS), so I was always jealous of all the people running through puddles. I could never do that. WET FEET MORE SADNESS
Rain Jacket. I mean, DUH. This dog is just cute, too. So I had to put the picture in.
Again, no brainer here. Umbrella is like a traveling ceiling.
Hot cup of coffee. TRUST ME. You will not regret dragging yourself through the rain and then sitting down and drinking a delicious, hot cup of coffee. Even if it is kinda warm out. If it's raining, you need the hot stuff. I'm enjoying a cappuccino right now and it is making me feel better about LIFE.
And last, but definitely NOT least. A sense of humor. Listen, you're gonna get wet. You're gonna be a little uncomfortable and miserable at times from dealing with the downpour. You may even get splashed by a tidal wave from standing too close to a driving car. BUT- laugh it off. Enjoy being alive and remember: It's JUST rain.
