It's the first of its kind and it was debuted in the Hudson Valley, Us Magazine reports. A candy converting vending machine. It's a machine that takes candy you don't like and trades it for Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups. The machine made its first appearance at the Tarrytown Halloween Parade this past Saturday, and is stocked and ready to swap candy on Halloween day, October 31st. But why did it debut in Tarrytown? Because Tarrytown is the home of Sleepy Hollow; the place detailed in Washington Irving''s the Legend of Sleepy Hollow, which was home to the story's Headless Horseman. Scary stuff.

Now, about this machine, what you do is insert your unwanted candy, and then in exchange, you get Reece's Peanut Butter Cups. They've since moved the machine to New York City for the world to see, but you can go use it tomorrow on 5th Avenue between Washington Square North and East 8th Street. It will be in use between 4 pm and 9 pm. Who knows, if they get enough interest, maybe they'll have them everywhere next Halloween!
