Hundreds ‘Run From The Sun’ in Danbury for Ann’s Place
Runners from all over Greater Danbury and New York came out to Run from the Sun at the Amber Room 5K on Thursday evening.
It was a perfect night for running, and hundreds who registered turned out for the annual 8th annual Run from the Sun 5K at the Amber Room in Danbury.
The annual event is a benefit for Ann's Place, which provides cancer patients with support and services free of charge, drew participants of all ages to help out a great cause and to compete for trophies in nine age categories both male and female, and of course, bragging rights.
In a recent article, Amber Room General Manager Doug Polistena told hamlethub.com:
We are honored and proud to be working together with community businesses once again for our 8th annual 5K race in support of Ann’s Place.
David Deschenes of the Development Group at Ann's Place told hamlethub.com:
This fundraising event helps us continue to provide free support services to our neighbors, colleagues and friends touched by cancer.
When all was said and done, the unofficial total raised for Ann's Place was over $20,000.
