Road Rage - it can get pretty ugly. How do you prevent it? Mostly by not being the one idiot that is doing something really simple wrong. Do I sound like I have Road Rage? Look, I'm usually a happy person. I don't sweat the small stuff. I am really lucky and have a very short commute to work, most of it is on a major Route. In the six minutes it takes me to get to work, I shouldn't experience any type of road rage whatsoever. I barely have enough time to get to that boiling point. But guess what? It happens almost every day. I've already ranted about how the turn signal is a mystery stick in a lot of people's cars because it is rarely used. Let's talk about another road issue.

The left lane is supposed to be the passing lane. Isn't it?? Why is it that every single freakin' day there is someone in the left lane going slower than everyone else. UGH! WHY? In my defense, New Jersey State Assemblyman Declan O'Scanlon was interviewed by CBSnews.com and he was quoted as saying,

One of the chief causes of road rage is people's failure to obey this very simple rule, You should be passing using the left lane. This is not a minor offence. When you cause people to change lanes more frequently or to pass people on the right, that is when you get the most severe accidents.

YES! THANK YOU! UGH!

Need more official word? OK then, according to www.mit.edu

Most states follow the Uniform Vehicle Code and require drivers to keep right if they are going slower than the normal speed of trafficUpon all roadways any vehicle proceeding at less than the normal speed of traffic at the time and place and under the conditions then existing shall be driven in the right-hand lane then available for traffic. This law refers to the "normal" speed of traffic, not the "legal" speed of traffic. The 60 MPH driver in a 55 MPH zone where everybody else is going 65 MPH must move right.

Use your directional, move over if you're going slower than the normal speed of traffic, help reduce road rage. UGH!!!!!!!
