1. What do you do here?
I’m on-air Saturday's 10A-3P and also do fill-ins for the full-time staff
2. How did you get into radio?
I’m a 1990 Graduate of CT School of Broadcasting . I’ve worked as a part-timer at several radio stations around Fairfield County, including our sister station I-95 as “The Cuz”
3. Who are your favorite groups or artists?
I really admire anyone who writes and performs their own music, like Elton John, Billy Joel, James Taylor, etc. and I also like new artists like Maroon 5, Daughtry, Rob Thomas -basically I’m a rock chick.
4. Do you have a brush with fame story?
I used to work in NYC in a building that had a recording studio on several floors, so I saw lots of famous people but my favorite brushes are with Steve Tyler and Joe Perry of Aerosmith (coming out of the elevator), riding in the elevator with Luther Vandross, and listening to Bruce Hornsby practice for an upcoming performance in the Balwin Piano studio on my floor.
5. Do you play a musical instrument?
I used to play piano as a kid, but now my only instrument is my voice which can be heard at karaoke after a few Diet Cokes, and of course, in the shower.
6. What are your hobbies outside the radio station?
Most people I know think I’m a good cook -I haven’t killed anyone yet… Also, I love to stamp and create stationery. But my favorite hobby by far is raising my two beautiful boys!
7. What are your favorite movies?
This is a tough question because I watch about 300 movies a year. No, really! I guess I’d have to say I’m a big fan of “Notting Hill” and romantic comedies. But I also love a good action movie like the “Bourne” flicks. And yet, I enjoy scary movies like “The Shining” and I don’t mind reading subtitles. So essentially, I’ll watch just about anything.
8. Your favorite TV shows?
I used to be a big fan of “Alias” and “Arrested Development” before they were cancelled. Right now I’m loving “30 Rock”, “Grey’s Anatomy” and anything on the Food Network or HGTV.
9. What sports teams do you root for?
I’m not much for sports but I always enjoy baseball- so the Yankees, I’d have to say.
10. What's your guilty pleasure?
I’m a handbag junkie. I go crazy for a nice Coach purse. Another obsession would be collecting stamps and patterned paper for making cards. I actually have a closet at home devoted to storing all of my crafting supplies!
11. What are your favorite websites?
Since I have two little guys at home, I can’t really watch the news anymore, so CNN.com is something I check a couple of times a day. I also go to Netflix a lot to update my queue. And IMDB to figure out where I’ve seen that actor before. Since I now have an iPod (finally!) I also visit iTunes.
