Pay no mind to the birds in the air over Fairfield County. Just checking the storm damage they say. YEAH.

I read a "blurb like" article in the News Times yesterday. It was short, sweet, and informational. It basically said that if you see increased helicopter activity in the local area, it's no big deal. Eversource is out checking storm damage.

There you go, simple, nothing to see here. Go about your daily lives and worry not about the air traffic. It's not a matter of concern. This is simply a power company looking our for the communities best interest. Most people who read it probably breezed right past it and did not give it one more thought. Not me, that's not how I operate. This is not my first rodeo.

Why tell us anything? Why would the News Times waste their time printing it? Why would Eversource put out a press statement?

Short answer: increased air traffic raises questions from folks like myself. They call us paranoid, and they says we are nuts. They make us look silly, so you won't even consider the other possibilities.

You know what other article I read the other day? I read an article out of the NY Post that said Manhattan has seen a dramatic rise in U.F.O. sightings over the past two years. In fact, since 2016, there have been 27 documented sightings in Manhattan. That stat comes courtesy of National UFO Reporting Center.

Then there was the Patch article from Aug 2017. The article that said the National UFO Reporting Center had 10 documented sightings in CT in the month of July of 2017 alone. Yeah, I read that one too. You see, this thing is like an onion, the more layers you peel, the more it stinks.

The increase in sightings in and around the Tri-State area are real. People saw something. Those people are so convinced they saw something that they could not identify, they felt compelled to report it. What about the people who saw something and did not say something? A lot of people convince themselves their mind was just playing tricks. Others are afraid to come forward, because they will be called a "loon."

What are people seeing? I don't know. I can tell you this, and it's not a secret: your government does not want you to know.

So IF something landed or crashed here, our government would not tell you. No, they would come up with a cover for their investigation. Maybe they would call the power company tell them to shoot a press release to the local paper. Maybe that press release would tell you in so many words not to worry. Pay no mind to the birds in the air. This is routine. This is protocol. This is in your best interest. Is it?

The truth is indeed out there. The question is, are you willing to ask the right questions? Do you want to know? I do. I'll be sniffing it out. You will be sitting on your biscuit, never having to risk it.
