Is a 27 year old Single Woman a SPINSTER!?

Honestly, I still kinda think of myself as a big kid. I know that's ridiculous since I'm 3 years away from being 30, but I still feel like a 21 year old with lots of experience. That's why the thought of marrying someone right now makes me cringe and grab a bottle. That being said, I was having dinner with my parents and of course at dessert (why does it always have to happen around dessert time!?) my Dad starts talking about how I am going to end up alone, and I'm 27 so  I should have  a boyfriend already, blah blah blah!.

My Mom came to my rescue though. "27 is still very young! She is focused on her career! She's fine!" Thanks MOM! I know my Dad was half teasing but also being half serious.

I honestly feel that things have shifted. People don't really get married until they're older and secure in their career, and I think thats' a wonderful development! Let's all postpone marriage. We don't have any money anyway to pay for a wedding.

I'm curious as to what you think about this! Do you think a 27 year old woman is still considered a spinster?
