We all remember that taste when you got to sink your teeth into that Fluffernutter sandwich. The perfect combination of fluff and peanut butter. Boy did that stick to your ribs, I actually think there's still some stuck to mine from that sandwich I had when I was 10.

Now as somewhat intelligent adults we tend to shy away from foods that contain Xanthan Gum, & Lactic Acid, but Fluff doesn't contain any fat or sodium and is also low in calories, it's also very low in nutrition, but I digress.  Let's take a look at the history of the Fluffernutter, it's actually kind of interesting.

The sandwich was first created in the early twentieth century after marshmallow cream, a sweet marshmallow-like spread, was invented in Massachusetts . During World War I, a recipe for a peanut butter and marshmallow creme sandwich, the earliest known example of the sandwich, was published. The term Fluffernutter was created by an advertising agency in 1960 as a more effective way to market the sandwich.

The sandwich is particularly popular in New England and has been proposed as the official state sandwich of Massachusetts.

So just remember when you enjoy, joy, joy your fluff and peanut butter, your glad you had enough for another Fluffernutter !!!! (Yea you  have to love their jingle.) Speaking of that I found their original 60's Jingle....So go ahead sing away Fluffernutter fans, it's your day !!!!
