This weekend on Saturday night, Jimmie Johnson took home the big win at the Duck Commander 500 at Texas Motor Speedway!

According to Fox Sports, with about 14 laps to go, Johnson flew past Kevin Harvick and Jamie McMurray, which propelled him to eventually take home the checkered flag.

Towards the end of the race with 24 laps to go, Fox Sports reports that Jeff Gordon decided to only take two tires during a caution flag. This gamble ended up taking a race where he had a #12 start, to a race where he finished in the Top 10, in 7th!  If the team had decided to take all four new tires, some say his finish wouldn't have been as strong.

Next weekend we look forward to some fun Sprint Cup racing action at Bristol for the Food City 500!
