Jimmie Johnson took home his first ever win at Michigan International Speedway yesterday on Father's Day.

This makes it Jimmie's third win of the 2014 NASCAR Sprint Cup season so far, and he stated on his radio at the end of the race courtesy of NASCAR.com:

Finally got one here. I didn't know if it was ever going to come.

As of right now, Jimmie is in 2nd place in the point standings right behind his Hendrick Motorsports teammate Jeff Gordon....Yes, Jeff Gordron!  When's the last time we've seen Jeff at the top of the points?

In fact, the top 3 points leaders go to Hendrick and Chevrolet with Dale Jr rounding out the top 3.

Kevin Harvick came in 2nd place in his Chevy for Stewart-Haas Racing, and finally Brad Keselowski finished up in the third spot in his Ford.

Once again, congrats to Jimmie Johnson and the Lowe's team. Next weekend, we look forward to some fun at Sonoma for Toyota / Save Mart 350.
