I finally got to see Kenny Chesney live on Friday night at Mohegan Sun Arena. You probably know that he is my favorite country artist, I make no secret of that fact on and off the air. Yes, I know, I can be quite possessive of him. But I look at it this way, there's other country artists, get your own. I'll share him for, like, three minutes or so, I'm good like that, but after that, back off.

Oh, did you expect a review of his show? Like I would say anything but positive stuff? Of course, he was amazing despite the fact that he wasn't feeling well. He told the audience that he wasn't sure that he was going to be able to go on Friday night, but after he got up there on the stage and he "felt all the love" he was "feeling much better". I just looked at him from my dead center seat and thought, "That was all from me, Kenny. Forget these other few thousand people!"

I have  been to a lot of concerts, yet I have never seen a superstar like him bring his roadies out on stage and shake all of their hands. He did just that at the end of the show. He also had the band play while he signed a bunch of autographs. This is the same superstar that wasn't feeling well to the point that he wasn't sure he could perform that night.

The Spread The Love Tour continues and I can't wait to see him again at Hunter Mountain for Taste of Country Music Fest. Kenny Chesney is the headliner for Saturday night, June 11. If you see someone with a Spread the Love Tour t-shirt and blinking Kenny Chesney flower lei, uh, that may or may not be me.
