Kevin Harvick’s First 2014 Win

Kevin Harvick went home with his first win of the 2014 NASCAR season yesterday in Phoenix, Arizona. This also marks the first win for Stewart-Haas racing for this year as well!

Funny thing about this race, it was Kevin Harvick's second straight Sprint cup win at Phoenix International Speedway....winning last year as well, but for his former team, Richard Childress Racing or RCR. Kevin was not only able to celebrate the win this weekend, but also his 13th wedding anniversary to his wife too!

The Phoenix race also ended well for Hendrick Motorsports and Mr Dale Earnhardt Jr who came in 2nd place..which gave him a solid spot as the points leader so far this season. It's still early and anything can obviously happen at this point, but it's a great start. Jeff Gordon also rounded out the top 5 drivers to add to Hendrick's success.

NASCAR fans, including myself, admit that Kevin Harvick coming to Stewart-Haas racing and Tony Stewart land, could only mean some trouble...but so far it's turning out to be a very competitive team and could result in making 2014 a very interesting season!

Now, if we can keep Tony Stewart from fighting other drivers, and act more like an owner...Only time will tell.
