Should ladies have to consult with their significant other when they're going to make a hair change? We got an e-mail, and Madison needs some advice.

Here's an e-mail we received from Madison in Pawling. She had a question about consulting with her boyfriend before getting her hair cut short.

Hey Mr. Morning and Liz

It's been a long time since I got my hair cut, so I made an appointment to get it chopped off. I was looking at hairstyles that were about five to six inches shorter than my hair is now, but my boyfriend looked over my shoulder, and said, "No, don't get it cut that short.  Are you serious . . . that's WAY too short."

He said anything shorter than my shoulders would "make me look different."

I actually agree with him, but it was funny to me that he even cared . . . and a little annoying.  I wanted to do something a little different this time.

Do guys out there really care how women cut their hair?  Do we need your permission to change things up?

So, what do you think? Should a lady have to consult with her hubby or boyfriend before getting a new look?
