While we were waiting for a snowstorm in the surrounding areas of New Haven, Connecticut that we thought would be a lot bigger than it turned out to be, our counter parts in the city of New Haven, Michigan got something that they surely were not expecting. With the missile scare in Hawaii this week and the crazy things in the news every day, I can't even begin to know what was going on in the minds of anyone who witnessed the meteorite that lit up the sky in Michigan last night.

TheVerge.com reports that the meteorite that flew across Michigan even lit up the city of Detroit. I am sure you can imagine all of the freaked out posts on social media. There were many reports of an exploding streaking object, loud booms and extreme brightness.
