Yay free things to do on the weekend!! How exciting AND affordable- I feel like those two elements are rarely together.

Connecticut is celebrating 100 years of state parks this year and so they're making the state parks free this weekend- Saturday and Sunday.

That means no parking fees (!!!) and no admission price at the state park museums. Governor Malloy said in a press release that Connecticut parks have been super busy this summer, so the free weekend is to encourage people to visit the parks more "off the beaten path". I like it. I like any incentive to get out and go into nature.

I, myself am doing that this weekend and I am SO excited.
