Do you watch the Goldbergs? This is one of my favorite shows. I was a child of the 80's so I love all the 80's references, like the New Kids on the Block episode.

Wednesday's episode brought us back to one of the classic 80's movies, Ferris Bueller's Day Off.

In the episode Barry and Adam decide that they want to have a day like Ferris and Cameron, but nothing goes right. For starters, Barry calls the school to get his girlfriend the day off too and he does it just like in the movie...by telling the school that her grandmother had died. So you can imagine how well that went over with his girlfriend.

Mr. Morning played the video clip of Ferris trying to get a table in a fancy restaurant by saying he is Abe Froman and that inspired me to continue with the 80's theme today.

By the way, there is a twitter account (not active for 5 years it looks like) and some Facebook pages dedicated to the Sausage King of Chicago. It gave me a good laugh going through those.

Here are video clips from both "The Goldbergs" courtesy ABC and "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" from YouTube. I love who they got to guest star and reprise his role!

Just a warning, the movie clip is from the original movie that was in theaters. So it does have some explicit language that you might not want your children to hear.
