Liz’s Winter Warmer – Peppermint Liquor Hot Chocolate [RECIPE]

Raise your hand if you are done with all this snow! Yeah, I thought so ... I'm counting quite a few hands. Me too, and I usually don't mind the snow at all. During the snow and yuck yesterday, it was a little depressing to see the play area in our yard covered in snow.

However, there are some things I love about winter and one of those things is hot chocolate. I'm not talking about the packets, I'm talking about real hot chocolate.

My family knows how much I love hot chocolate, I even have a special hot chocolate mug. My brother-in-law includes a different kind of hot chocolate in my Christmas gift every year and they are always delicious!

Now, on snow days and really cold winter evenings I like to make the hot chocolate with a special ingredient. If you add just a little bit of peppermint liqueur you will have a nice hot winter drink.

The peppermint and chocolate flavors mix together really well and give you a pretty delicious drink. The amount of peppermint liqueur added will vary depending on your taste.

So, grab your favorite hot chocolate, heat it up, mix in some peppermint liqueur, top with marshmallows, sit back, and enjoy a nice New England winter evening ... or think about the warmer days ahead ;-)
