It's the strongest storm of the season and it will impact the local area this afternoon and tonight.

Here's the latest from our Kicks 105.5 meteorologist Bill Jacquemin. He's reporting the storm is still on schedule and should produce some heavy rain throughout our area this afternoon and tonight.

"We should see the heaviest rain and strongest wind guest's between 4 pm and 12 am. There have already been 40 mile an hour wind guests in New Milford.

We can expect rain and gusty winds between 40-50 mph, with some sleet and wet snow mixing in especially from New Milford north. Temps should stay above freezing in most area's, however the rain/snow line is a little tough to call at this time as the air mass may change a bit after it settles into our area. Look for the rain to tapper off to just showers overnight and into the early part of tomorrow with all precipitation to end by Tuesday afternoon".

We're expecting better weather to take control for Wednesday through the rest of the week.
