Things you need to know on July 20.

Thanks to MetroNews Source for the following.

  • Lockheed Martin appears ready to buy Sikorsky Helicopter from United Technologies for more than eight-billion-dollars. The two sides are expected to make a formal announcement of the deal today. United Technologies announced earlier this year that it either planned to spin off or sell Sikorsky.
  • Couldn't you put your talents to better use? Clinton CT. police say there's nothing they can do about the teen who posted a YouTube video of a drone firing a gun. Sergeant Dunn says Austin Haughwout isn't breaking the law because the "flying gun" was being fired in an area which it's legal to shoot. The 18-year-old's father says plenty of research was done before the "flying gun" was tested. The FAA is investigating.
  • Senator John McCain says Donald Trump doesn't owe him an apology, but might owe one to military families across the country. McCain made his comments in an interview with MSNBC's "Morning Joe" this morning, declining a chance to fire back at Trump taking aim at McCain by saying the former Vietnam POW was only a war hero because he was captured. McCain says the best thing he can do is to put the comments behind him and move forward.
  • Full-figured women are throwing Instagram a curve.Instagram banned the hashtag curvy, c-u-r-v-y, because it was being used to share images and videos that violate Instagram's nudity guidelines. A bunch of women have started using the hashtag curvee, c-u-r-v-e-e, and "bring curvy back." A lot of women say more explicit and provocative hashtags are still searchable on Instagram.
