Looks like researchers believe our solar system deserves a 9th planet again, and are we in the "Age of Aquarius"....Here's whats going on up there.

If you love astronomy like I do then this week has been pretty big in terms of whats happening out there. First two researchers at Cal-tech in Pasadena, announced they've found eveidence of a new planet.

According to newstimes.com, Konstantin Batygin and Mike Brown (pictured below) made the discovery using mathematical modeling and computer simulations. Unfortunately they have not yet observed the far-out planet, which would take between 10,000 and 20,000 years to orbit the sun. For now, the heavenly object has been given the visionary name "Planet Nine".

Planet Nine is just hard to see since it orbits at an average distance of 2.8 billion miles from the sun.

Now this is the impressive part of this story...."There have only been two true planets discovered since ancient times, and this would be a third,” Brown said, in a statement from Caltech. “It's a pretty substantial chunk of our solar system that's still out there to be found, which is pretty exciting.”

And speaking of our Solar System, for the first time in more than a decade, Mercury, Mars, Venus, Saturn, and Jupiter — the five planets bright enough to be seen with the naked eye will all be visible at once in the sky.

You'll have to wake up early to catch it. Now until February 20th it will be possible to see all five planets in a row, about 45 minutes before sunrise. So could this actually be, as the song says...The Age of Aquarius.
