Give Him a ‘Cold One’ – He’s Almost the Big 4-0

He's one of Country Music's biggest Superstars, and today (Tuesday) he's almost 40. (39 to be exact). Happy Birthday to Eric Church.

Kenneth Eric Church was born on this day in 1977 in Granite Falls, North Carolina. According to wikipedia.com he bought his first guitar at age 13, started writing songs, and after graduating high school started playing in many of the local dive bars in North Carolina.

Before moving to Nashville, Eric graduated from Appalachian State University with a degree in business. He married Katherine Blasingame in 2008 and is the father of two boys.

Eric and his wife organized the Chief Cares Fund is a foundation in 2013. The non-profit organization has been used to help underprivileged families in Tennessee, North Carolina, and even as far as helping orphans in Nepal receive clothing, proper bedding, and schooling.

The Church's currently reside in Nashville, and their home, along with his man cave was featured on a recent episode of CMT Cribs.
