Happy St. Patrick's Day! It's the day for corned beef and cabbage, an excuse to party in the middle of the week (and an excuse to have a hangover in the middle of the week ;-) ), and green beer!

Between work and kids, sometimes it's hard to get out in the middle of the week to a fun St. Patty's Day party. When did I become an adult with all these responsibilities?!

If you aren't going to make it out tonight, don't worry, you can still have your green beer with your homemade corned beef and cabbage. It's so easy to make!

What you will need:

  • Frosty mug
  • Beer (a light colored beer works best)
  • Green food coloring (liquid)

First grab a nice frosty mug and poor your beer in the glass. Then take your green food coloring and put one drop in the beer. If you would like your beer a little "greener" you can put in two drops. That's it! You're all set to celebrate St. Patrick's Day!

For those of us that are not crazy about beer, there are other options. We don't have to miss out just because we don't like beer. You can make a green martini with sour apple martini mix and you are good to go with your green St. Patrick's Day drink!

Here are some pictures I took when I made some green beer.
