If you're a fan of Seinfeld, then you have to remember the muffin tops episode. Well it only took 21 years for the folks at McDonald's to get the memo, but now it looks like their jumping on the muffin tops band wagon.

Since McDonald's starting doing that all day breakfast thing a few years back, they kind of forgot about one thing — breakfast. Since it became an all day menu item, early morning sales have slumped, according to bloomberg.com. So now its Seinfeld to the rescue, or should I say an idea that spawned from a 1997 episode of the famous sitcom that featured Elaine going into business with Mr. Lippman selling Muffin Tops.

McDonald's says we could be ordering Muffin Tops around here very soon, and they'll come in three flavors: Lemon poppy seed, blueberry, and double chocolate.

Now there's actually one more twist to this developing story. The writer who was responsible for that now-famous episode has spoken out to TMZ, and said he may sue the fast food giant for stealing his concept.
