  • The son of Jeffrey and Jeanette Navin, who've been missing for over a month, has been indicted on a federal gun charge. Kyle Navin was arrested Sept. 8. Police say they found guns, ammunition, drug paraphernalia and traces of heroin during searches of his home in August. Navin was indicted yesterday on one count of possession of a firearm by an individual who is an unlawful user of and addicted to a controlled substance. source: News Times
  • The U.S. Census Bureau says Connecticut's uninsured rate has dipped below seven percent. The Census report indicates that Middlesex and Windham counties have the lowest uninsured rate at four-point-six percent. The highest is Fairfield County at an uninsured rate over ten percent.
  • It begs the popular - "is it hot enough for you yet"? The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration says June, July, and August of 2015 had the highest monthly temperatures in 136 years of record-keeping.
  • Medical experts say the chances are one in a million. Kelli and Jason Fenley from Long Island say they hit the genetic jackpot because their triplets were conceived naturally, without fertility drugs. Owen, Noah, and Miles were born prematurely on July 1. The key to knowing who's who at this point? The family says by painting a toe on each one a different color.
