Some of those eateries may not look glamorous from the outside, but on the inside, the sweet savory smells of mouthwatering homemade food awaits you. Too much?! Sprouts Vietnam Cuisine - Bethel

Sprouts is located at 6B Elizabeth St. in Bethel and gets rave reviews for their Pho and their vegetarian tofu options. The owner attended culinary school in Ho Chi Minh City and gears her food to the American palette but it's truly authentic Vietnamese food. Chicken and steak Pho and their fresh spring rolls are highly recommended.

    Alpenhaus Restaurant - New Milford

According to Yelp.com., one of the very best German eateries in our area is Alpenhaus Restaurant which is located at 59 Bank St. in New Milford across the street from the Bank Street Coffeehouse. The owner, Manuela, immigrated from Germany 22 years ago and co-owns the restaurant with her husband Jeff. Reviews on Yelp, which were just short of a straight 5 out of 5 along with Google reviews were outstanding, so if authentic German food like spaetzle and sauerbraten are your thing, this is a hole-in-the-wall restaurant you must try. Almost forgot that Alpenhaus has their very brew pub called the Steinbock Tavern.
