It was blustery and cold in the big city which made it perfect weather to visit the American Museum of Natural History.

Our last visit to one of the largest museums in the world was around 1995 when our son, EJ, who was 11-years-old at the time, came along with us and set the world record for the shortest stay inside the museum at 30 minutes. The American Museum of Natural History is on the Upper West Side of Manhattan and comprises 28 inter-connected buildings which houses 45 permanent exhibition halls. The collection contains over 33 million specimens of plants, animals, fossils, human remains, and human cultural artifacts.

We spent three hours inside this breathtaking museum taking in as much as we possibly could. You could literally spend the entire day inside the AMNH and barely scratch the surface. Because the friends we were with had spent one week in Cuba last May, which included a free Rolling Stones concert, we needed to experience the museum's new Cuba ExhibitNo matter how old you might be, a visit to the AMNH is a mind-blowing experience. My photo gallery contains shots from the Dinosaur, Native American, Asian Animals, the South Pacific Spirit World, and Cuba Exhibits. I also threw in a couple of shots from the Hells Kitchen skyline. You know what they say, whoever 'they' are:

"Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it."
