National Weather Service Issues a Winter Weather Advisory
The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory beginning at 3 AM on Monday morning (2/7) until Monday evening at 6 PM. A winter storm warning has been issued for Middlesex and New London counties according to Danbury Patch. Snow will start to fall after 3 AM on Monday morning. Look for snow accumulations of 1 to 3 inches with some blowing snow and temperatures falling to 26 degrees on Monday.
Monday night temps. will dip to 19 with another 1-3 inches of snow a possibility. Tuesday, look for an inch or less of snow with temps around 31. For all school delays and closings, check the Kicks 105.5 Stormwatch.
"NOT SO FAST" says The Weather of Steve Turk. Turk says that the amount of snow we get, or don't get, will be determined by two strong weather systems and whether they will collide on the overnight tonight.
Turk went on to predict that this mini-storm has major 'Bust Potential," meaning the snow could bypass us all together. On his FB page, he states that this storm is very complex.
Turk is predicting periods of snow, but states that it's too early to be predicting accumulation totals. Any accumulations should come to an end by the end of the day on Wednesday.
