It’s not quite a streaming service hooked up to your eyeballs, but if there’s one thing Netflix subscribers have clamored for, its the ability to watch TV and movies on occasions where internet connections aren’t explicitly available. So it is, that Netflix will now let viewers download its programs at no extra cost.

Now display as download option in Netflix apps, the new feature offers subscribers a chance to view programs offline in a lower-resolution “Standard” option, or a Higher version that naturally requires more time and storage space. Here’s how Netflix describes the feature, which is already applicable to shows like Orange Is the New Black, Narcos and The Crown as of today:

While many members enjoy watching Netflix at home, we’ve often heard they also want to continue their Stranger Things binge while on airplanes and other places where Internet is expensive or limited. Just click the download button on the details page for a film or TV series and you can watch it later without an internet connection. […]

The new feature is included in all plans and available for phones and tablets on Android and iOS.

Netflix has seemed apprehensive of an offline mode in the past, though rival streaming services like Amazon Instant Video have already enabled the format. It’s unclear if Netflix will make their entire catalogue available, but let’s just say your next flight got a heck of a lot less boring.

Stay tuned for further details in the meantime.
