A few months ago, some news came out that the two tribes that run and own Mohegan Sun and Foxwoods, were looking to built another casino in Northern CT.

According to Fox CT, this could become reality, or at least, it's one step closer to happening. The next casino would be built north of Hartford where The Mashantucket Pequot and Mohegan tribes hosted a signing ceremony Thursday to begin their partnership.

The idea of this new casino is to locate it up Interstate 91 in north-central Connecticut to compete with the planned MGM casino in Springfield, Massachusetts.

A new law that came out and was passed this year says that tribes can request situations where towns might want to have a casino built on their town's land. Obviously this would put the casino in a place where it would follow different laws from locations that are on land owned by the tribes themselves.

Let's see what happens...I wish it would be closer to our neck of the woods!
