Well it looks like the Danbury Boad of Education has chosen a new leader for Danbury High School.

According to The News Times, Dan Donovan, the current principal of the school's Freshman Academy, has been chosen as the new principal of DHS. His role of principal will be in effect starting July 1, 2016.

Donovan replaces Gary Bocaccio, who's been working in the Danbury school district since 1971.

began his career in teaching back in 1996 at Roberts Avenue School in Danbury, where he then later moved on to Broadview Middle School to teach science. In addition to this, he was also Assistant Principal of DHS in 2004.

He holds a variety of degrees from Iona College, Sacred Heart University, University of Bridgeport, and is currently working on a doctorate degree at Northeastern.

We welcome Mr Donovan to his new role at Danbury High School, and wish him nothing but the best in his new job!
