On Sunday night, Newtown Police made quite a discovery as they arrested a Danbury man.

Patch.com states that police stopped to investigate a suspicous vehicle at the Hanover Road boat ramp in Newtown, CT.  In the car, they discovered 61-year-old Danbury resident, Jose Ernesto Miranda. The police investigation uncovered less than a half of an ounce of marijuana. However, there were a few more items that were of particular interest. Miranda had some weapons in the car.

He was arrested and brought to police headquarters where three charges were brought against him. Miranda was charged with Operating Under the Influence of Alcohol or Drugs, Possession of a Controlled Substance and Weapons in a Vehicle.

Miranda came up with the $500 bond. He has a court date in Danbury Superior Court on Oct. 31.

What was he planning on doing with those weapons? It is something that I say to my family all the time, you never know what someone has in their car. When you are thinking about getting angry or approaching someone in a car, think again.
