Never before has an American Idol winner or runner up come from the state of Connecticut, or for that matter the entire Northeast. That all changed Wednesday night when Guilford Connecticut's Nick Fradiani became the newest American Idol.

Will Nick go Country ?  Now before you call me crazy and say,
"Mr. Morning have you lost your mind?" let's look at the fact's and let's look at who's handling him now, and what label he's on.

Scott Borchetta is the head of Big Machine Records and now in charge of Nick the Idol. Big Machine is strictly a "country label"...don't believe me check out Big Machines stable of artist's.

It's a who's who of country superstars. The only artist that's even done a pop album is Taylor Swift and that was her doing, not his.

As Scott said in an interview after the show on Fox News, "I'm taking Nick back to Nashville as the newest member of the Big Machine Records family". You don't do pop albums in Nashville....you churn out country hit's.

So good luck to the newest American Idol, or as we may soon be calling him...Cowboy Nick.
