With another week of snow and ice predicted for us (thanks Phil) and the sun officially setting on the NFL season, this could only mean one thing.

I don't know about you, but I'm pretty done with winter, and this weeks prediction for more snow and ice is not helping things any. Even Phil the Groundhog says 6 more weeks of winter.

As I write this blog though I'm looking out the window to my left and yes the snow is falling again and covering everything in a frozen blanket of white, but if I concentrate and stare long enough the white seems to disappear and changes to green and the grey sky almost appears to turn bright blue. This hallucination can only mean one thing.....baseball pitchers and catchers report in about 1 week.

Like the Groundhog, and the end of the Football season, it's a true sign that winter will slowly give way to spring. Springtime when every man and every women s attention turns to.......Baseball. (what did you think I was gonna say).....Even if your not a fan of the boys of summer, just their arrival in small ballparks in Florida and Arizona (bet you wish you were there) signals a light at the end of the long cold tunnel know as winter. I know it's only the beginning of February but it's only a matter of time now. So let it snow, there's a bunch of guys ready to lead us out of the dark and into the light.

Put me in coach, I'm ready to play today !!!!
