The Big Brothers Big Sisters program is a fantastic opportunity to help children in Connecticut.

So many boys and girls all across our country have benefited from the kindness and mentoring of the adults in the Big Brother and Big Sister program, and there are so many ways to get yourself involved with the local organization.

Connecticut wants to take it up a notch, so the Nutmeg Big Brother Big Sister program is reaching out in a BIG way!

In a story from Fox 61, Nutmeg BBBS is working hard to recruit 50 male volunteers in 50 days as a part of its 50th anniversary.

The Nutmeg BBBS CEO Andy Fleischmann told Fox 61:

You don't need to be a parent yourself to make a good mentor. You don't have to have a PhD in developmental psychology, You just have to like children.

For more information about getting involved, please call 860-525-KIDS or go online to nutmegbigbrothersbigsisters.org

Making a lasting impression in a child's life is an incredible way to pay it forward.
