This is what makes America great. During times of trouble we join together to make things easier for those experiencing tragedy.

Hurricane Harvey has left its mark on Houston and organizations from around the US are teaming together to help those left in its path. Locally, there have been several different truck fill ups and even local celebrities are putting their power to good use. Paul Sr from Orange County Choppers has made a custom bike to be raffled off for charity as well as collecting donations to bring down to Texas next week.

A local New York Senator is putting together another fill-a-truck event. Senator Terrance Murphy of Yorktown is collecting back to school supplies, like folders, pens and pencils as well as baby supplies as in diapers, formula, food and bottles. They'll also be collecting hygiene products.

Tiso and Associates in Pawling is providing the tractor trailer and the the Salvation Army of Peekskill will be making sure the donations are distributed to the proper families. Donations are being accepted until September 8th.
