We are excited to announce the musical headliner for Brews & BBQ May 16 at the Ives Concert Park - national recording artist Robert Randolph and The Family Band!

Robert Randolph was named one of Rolling Stone's "Top 100 Guitarists of All Time." He's touring in support of his current album "Lickety Split," his first in three years.  He's a tireless performer, having played at places like Bonnaroo, Austin City Limits, the New Orleans jazz & Heritage Festival and more.

His music is a blend of funk, rock and R&B. His primary instrument is a pedal steel guitar, but you've never seen or heard anyone play the pedal steel like this. I saw him open for Eric Clapton several years ago at Madison Square Garden, and since our seats were up in the nosebleed section, it didn't even register to me at first that it was a pedal steel.

Even if he played a regular guitar, you'd consider him a virtuoso. The man can wail! Clapton and Carlos Santana are among his many fans and collaborators.

Tickets for Brews & BBQ are on sale here.  The event is May 16 at the Ives Concert Park in Danbury.  Here's a little preview of Robert Randolph and The Family Band:
