It's that time of year when our yards get covered with leaves and the process must begin. Of course, when you clean up the yard one day it's usually covered with leaves again by the morning. It's a pain, I know, but please don't rake or blow the leaves into the street.

The problem with blowing them into the street is that when it rains the leaves get slick. So bikes, motorcycles, and even cars can slip on them. It's a bit of a danger to those on the road when someone does that. It can also clog storm drains which causes localized flooding.

Here are some links to help with leaf removal. For some of the towns I was able to find an actual leaf pick-up schedule, but not for others. So for the ones where I could not find a schedule the link is for the town website. You can always email or call the town for information.
