The former home of GE Capital just off exit 11 on the Super 7 extension, will soon be home to a new company.

The News-Times reports that current Danbury corporate resident, Praxair, will be soon moving into that building and making it their new HQ. The purchase of this building by the gas company comes after news of them backing out of building a brand new facility in Danbury.

This is great news as it will keep existing Danbury jobs, right here in the Hat City. The News Times says that Praxair bought the existing building for about $20 million.

The original plan to build a new facility would have costed over $60 million, and this obviously results in a much more money conscious move. Currently, Praxair rents space in the Matrix Corporate Center on the west side of Danbury.
