Danbury based Fortune 500 company Praxair will not be continuing with plans to build a new headquarters in the Hat City.

The News Times reports that Praxair had announced plans in the past to build a brand new HQ worth $60 million in Danbury. It seems now that sources report this idea has become too expensive for the company in the long run.

Praxair currently operates in the Matrix Conference Center in Danbury and plans to maintain their offices in the area, even after the news of the cancelled HQ construction.

The company currently employs about 500 people from the area, and it would be devastating if they ever decided to leave the area.

What new businesses are coming to Danbury?  There is word of Tilted Kilt making it's first appearance in the area.
