This year my oldest son had a great idea, he suggested we get some solar Christmas lights to decorate the outside of the house with. Well don't tell him this, but it was one of the best idea's ever !!!!

O.K. if your like me you dread this time of year because it means hours and hours of work getting the outside of the house decorated for Christmas....You've got to get all the lights and figures out of storage, of course it takes you about an hour just to untangle the strands that you swore you put away so neatly the year before. Then it's the battle of getting them on the bushes and house in just the right way, oh and did I forget if one goes out they all go out....Now the outcome is really nice, illuminated bushes, colorful fences, a real Christmas glow to the home, kinda like the Clark Griswold house in National Lampoons Christmas Vacation.

But you pay the price....Just like Clark did. There's a kind of Holiday rage that seems to set in about 2-3 hours into the set up. Your not only ready to forget about the lights, your ready to cancel Christmas altogether. Well stress no more, I have found the solution, Solar Christmas lights. That's right I've taken the next step to total Christmas bliss.

Like you I'm always searching for a better way, and at my son's suggestion I picked up 5 boxes of 100 solar lights each. They come complete with the small solar power charger and a hook on stake, so you can easily attach them to your bushes, on the fence, or just push the stake into the ground and point the solar panel towards the sky. No more running extension cords all over the yard, or through the small opening under the garage door or through a window....and never again will your outlets look like this....

So yesterday was "go time" when it came to stringing up the lights, and in about 20 minute, yes you read it right, in 20 minutes the lights were strung, they were on and they were working, and boy do they look great. No holiday rage, no arguing with the kids and wife, actual my hands didn't even get cold.

The jury is still out on how many nights these lights will work, especially with a lot less sunlight this time of year, but I don't care if they stay on for 15 minutes, it's a score for me and I'll never look at outdoors lights the same again. Joy to the world !!!!
