Always sad and scary at the same time when something like this happens.

Back on April 25, 2017 a discovery was made in Helen Binney Kitchel Natural Park in Old Greenwich Connecticut. As reported by courant.com human remains were found in the park.

Fast forward a week and the search for clues has been amped up according to greenwichtime.com. Dozens of Greenwich police officers, along with forensic experts and the FBI, ascended on the area to carry out an extensive search in the Helen Binney Kitchel Natural Park on the morning of May 1.

Police scuba divers also searched a stream that runs through the park. Binney Park and the Helen Binney Kitchel Natural Park covers 32 acres in the center of Old Greenwich.

At this point Greenwich Police haven't released information about the remains, whether it was a man or woman, or even the age range. They are, however hoping for help from the public. Detectives are actively investigating the case. Anyone with information is being asked to contact the anonymous tip line. You can call 1-800-372-1176 or you can send an email to tips@greenwichct.org
