Richard Petty Racing Danica Patrick?

Even if you don't know much about NASCAR, when you see these two names together for a possible race, it's going to cause excitement!

Richard Petty has taken some heat for his prior comments stating that Danica Patrick's racing style isn't necessarily one that will bring many victories. His actual comment went something like this:

If she'd have been a male, nobody would ever know if she'd showed up at a racetrack."

Basically stating that she could only win if everyone else stayed home..Ouch! Right? ... Now everyone can agree that even if you're a Danica fan, and I am, her stats aren't the best. But should Petty put his money where his mouth is..and race Danica?

NASCAR co-owner and driver, Tony Stewart, along with sports outlets and commentators have put Petty up to the challenge, and as of right now, it looks like he's up for it...Now we just need to get sweet Danica Patrick on board to get the ball rolling. Tony Stewart says:

I think that (a race) would pretty much settle it once and for all, maybe get him to shut up a little bit, too.

As of right now, we haven't heard if Danica will do this, but we'll wait and see.
