The long standing locally owned and operated restaurant near the four corners of Brookfield is getting set to close it's doors.

According to The News Times, the 35 year old Brookfield restaurant known as Rickyls will be shutting its doors for good on November 1. The planned Brookfield Village development has some changes coming to the four corners area, which will unfortunately not include the eatery.

Owners Rick and Cheryl Harrison mentioned that the new buildings planned to be built on the existing space of their current building will cost too much, ending their business as of November.

It's really sad to see a hard working local business close their doors because of this new downtown project. If local businesses can't afford these new buildings, who can?
