Run for the Turkeys is Sunday in New Fairfield
Lot's going on in "Kicks Country" as the Holiday Season draws near. This Sunday it's an annual tradition, The Run for the Turkeys 5k Road Race.
Come celebrate the 30th Annual Run for the Turkeys 5K Road Race/ Health Walk which will be held this Sunday, November 23rd in New Fairfield. Included in the day’s events will be a kid’s fun run around the track for children 12 years and under. T-shirts will be given to all 5K runners and walkers who pre-registered. Digital timing, positional placing, raffle prizes and trophies to the top runners in each division are highlights of this year’s event. Come join in the fun with the After Hours Band performing along the race route. Refreshments will be available courtesy of Dunkin Donuts.
** Since they are celebrating their 30th year – there will be special prize categories for the runner who has traveled the farthest, the runner wearing the oldest Turkey Run t-shirt, and the three best Thanksgiving themed costumed runners.
