  • Investigators are continuing to search an ash landfill in Connecticut for clues to the disappearance of Jeffrey and Jeanette Navin. Officials are confirming that blood and a bullet hole was found in a vehicle owned by the Navins earlier this month. Police yesterday also resumed searching wooded areas of Fairfield County for clues.
  • A new report indicates that used car giant CarMax has been routinely selling cars under recall without making repairs. Senator Blumenthal says the independent inquiry by the Connecticut Public Interest Group is chilling. CarMax has two Connecticut locations, one in East Haven and one in Hartford.
  • What can you get with that slice? The owner of Mystic Pizza is heading to federal prison for evading over $200,000 in income taxes. John Zelepos was sentenced yesterday to a year and a day in prison, which will allow him to earn time off for good behavior. Zelepos has made full restitution to the IRS, but still must pay interest and substantial penalties.
  • A new Caitlyn Jenner costume is causing a social media firestorm. The costume is called "Call Me Caitlyn" and retails from about $80People are taking to social media to voice their frustration over the costume. The big issue they say is that if Caitlyn becomes a Halloween joke, it will only lead to greater transphobia. A petition has been started to put a stop to it.
