Let's take a stroll, shall we? Senator Chris Murphy is hoofing it again, but where to?

I have to say, I love this guy. If you've ever had the chance to chat with him or see Senator Chris Murphy speak, he truly embodies what is good about the people we elect to office.

Murphy embarked on his 2nd "Walk Across Connecticut" on Sunday Aug. 13 and the trek will last until Thursday Aug. 17th. The press release from the office of Senator Chris Murphy says this about the walk:

U.S. Senator Chris Murphy (D-Conn.) will embark on his second “Walk Across Connecticut”, taking to the streets and dirt roads to listen to and get feedback from Connecticut residents. Murphy will begin his walk in Killingly on Sunday morning, and walk 103 miles through 21 towns over the next five days. He will hold a series of pop-up town halls each day along his route where he will hear firsthand from Connecticut residents about a variety of topics. Members of the public are invited to attend Murphy’s town halls.

The release also says that If you would like to connect with Murphy along his route, you should contact his Press Secretary at Laura_Maloney@murphy.senate.gov.

The Senator will be holding Town Halls along the way, and everyone is invited to attend. Locally they are:

On Tuesday, Aug.15 at 7 p.m. the Waterbury Town Hall takes place in the gym at Chase Elementary School, 40 Woodtick Road.

On Wednesday Aug.16 the Town Hall happens at the Edmond Town Hall Gym, 45 Main Street in Newtown, starting at 6:30 p.m.

On Thursday Aug.17, Senator Murphy wraps up with an End of Walk Picnic in Danbury. Join him starting at 12 - noon, at Rogers Park, 21 Memorial Drive.
