Tsk, tsk -- and a healthy dose of dumb ass, too.

Another story that once again begs the question -- when will people learn? Apparently, never. This one adds the brilliant idea of running away when caught -- also never a smart thing to do, but we know smarts often isn't part of the equation.

According wtnh.com, a Shelton man is facing charges after police say he was found growing marijuana in his home. Add to the mix, he tried to run. The story says that police, acting on a tip about the pot operation, got a search warrant.

Police say Anthony Martino ran from the home and tried to hide in the backyard when officers arrived to serve a warrant. How anyone thinks that particular move is not going to end badly is beyond belief.

Martino did finally surrender and was taken into custody. He's been charged with illegal cultivation of marijuana and two counts of Risk of Injury to a Minor. Martino has a court date later this month and is free on $10,000 bail.
