A helicopter has been circling over my neighborhood for a while and I wasn't sure why. Then I saw a report of a domestic disturbance and that people had been shot not far from where I live.

According to the Danbury News Times, police responded to a call that was made to 911 and found one man dead with two other adults injured. The two injured, a man and woman, were taken to Danbury Hospital. The incident happened on Governor's Lane, a usually quiet neighborhood.

The Bethel Police Chief, Jeff Finch, told the News Times that the man has life threatening injuries, but the woman is expected to survive.

All those involved are adults, no children were involved.

NBC Connecticut reports that the 911 call was made after 3 p.m. today, but the person hung up and police responded because of the hang up.

At the time of writing this, the Connecticut State Police Crime Unit was been seen driving up our street towards Governor's Lane. We have also seen local police officers driving up and down our road, more so than usual.

For those in the area, the Bethel Police Department posted on their Facebook page that there is no reason to believe anyone else is in danger.

Thank you to the police for patrolling more around the neighborhood and making sure the residents are safe! It is very much appreciated!

We will keep you posted as more information comes in.
